Shutterfly is the winner!

Well it's official-I'm caught up! I received the albums I spoke of in an earlier post. I wanted to give an update as to my opinion on snapfish vs shutterfly. The three albums that are solid colored are snapfish and the one with the holly leaves is shutterfly. In my opinion shutterfly was a superior web site and the album turned out better. The photos looked better and there was no "surprises". SHUTTERFLY is a bit more expensive but in my opinion it is worth it. It was a slightly bigger album and there were many more choices, like collage layouts and fonts. (Marti would love the font option)
Snapfish was a horrible web site to deal with. SLOW uploads and when we contacted them they acted like they didn't know this was a problem. Made us feel like it was our fault, even though we had trouble on DSL, Cable and Satellite. I had access to them all to see if it was just "me". Then when you viewed your album to approve it, the captions were so small you could not read them. So you had to click on them to get to the edit page then try and see if it was all spelled right. What they don't tell you is that if you have too much text, they just don't print it. They don't warn you but shutterfly does tell you. So a couple of the books had text that was not complete. I was able to "fix" it so it really didn't matter. Another observation is that snapfish uses poor shipping. The books arrived safely, but some photo's I had sent to me from them were in an envelope which the mailman promptly shoved into the mail box, bending them. Shutterfly on the other hand packaged some note cards I ordered in a double box. The box the actual cards are in is very stylish.
I decided I will not use shapfish again but shutterfly is a real option! I can't wait for next year's Christmas album!
