82-191-198-64-195

We are having such a great time trying our new cookie recipes! Here is a overview of some of the recipes we have explored. My wonderful daughter, Kelly, made these yummy Sinckerdoodles. (Page 82) I really liked this cookie and gave it a 5 out of 5 stars.

Yesterday I made these two recipes, Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies (page 198) and Gingerbread-White Chocolate Blondies (Page191).

The Chocolate Chip cookies were good, but nothing amazing. Pretty much like any other Chocolate Chip recipe. However I did chose the option to use 1/2 Chocolate Chips and 1/2 Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. It was an interesting twist, but I didn't think they were amazing, still I give them 4 out of 5.

Then there is these great Gingerbread-White Chocolate Blondies! I'd say these are a big 6 out of 5! I really loved them. I always love Gingerbread and never thought of mixing them with white chocolate chunks. YUMMY!

These deceptively ordinary looking cookie are called Surprise Cookie (page 195). They have a surprise in them.....you bite through the fudgy icing to the cakey cookie below and whoa....there is a white surprise filling. These were given to me by a friend who also has the book. They were sinfully delicious. I'd give them a 6 out of 5.

Finally these are Anise Drips (page 64). I made these for a Children's Play. I didn't have much planning, so I looked for a recipe that looked quick, easy and had ingredients I had at home. At first I thought they might be too strange because of the Anise flavoring. But I was pleasantly wrong. They were very good. The Anise was a nice difference in a cookie. I completely enjoyed them. I give them 4 out of 5.

All in all, a great trial of the cookie book. Buy it!
